power-up.
Darlene is a hacker, so it's natural that her abilities will be technologically focused. Her technopathy will be centered around power sources, and will render her as basically a really big battery. If you put your phone against your arm, your phone charge will boost up. She will work with anything battery-based, and any kind of battery, large or small, though the larger charges will tire her out. She can also drain batteries, as long as she's touching the device.

technoempathy.
Darlene can tell how machines are "feeling" just by being in proximity and concentrating. The better the machine is feeling, the easier it will be to manipulate and work with. This will be very helpful when hacking, but also really annoying when she has to listen to your phone whining about your weird habits.

spyware.
webster's (wikipedia) defines Spyware as, "software that aims to gather information about a person or organization without their knowledge, that may send such information to another entity without the consumer's consent, or that asserts control over a device without the consumer's knowledge". as such, I would like to break Darlene's Spyware power into two types.

when Darlene makes physical skin-to-skin contact with a person, she can kick on her Spyware and leech information out of them. initial raw uses of her power will work at random, and will leech mostly useless surface information--what her target ate for breakfast, the eye color of her target's last hookup, the name of the target's childhood pet, the death date of a target's grandfather, an embarrassing secret about the target. the target will not be aware of the transfer of this information. use of Darlene's power in this stage will leave her tired and zapped of energy, like she spent the whole day trying to carry a chest of drawers up a six floor walk up by herself.

with time and practice, Darlene will be able to hone her Spyware. skin-to-skin contact will let her pinpoint a piece of information and extract it from a target. use of Darlene's power in this stage will leave her with a temporary info high, like she popped an eight ball. the high will last about 8 hours and, once it has faded, will leave Darlene tired, though not as tired as the first stage of her power. the target will not be aware of the transfer of information.

during this stage of Darlene's power, sustained skin-to-skin contact of one minute or more will allow her to momentarily hijack a target. once Darlene releases her touch from a target, the target will feel a chill, and will then be susceptible to Darlene's suggestions. she will be able to direct a target to do what she wants--walk into traffic, sit down on train tracks, buy her a drink, run up the stairs in the Empire State Building--regardless of the physical risk or tax on a target. Darlene's sway over a target will last up to one hour and she will need to be within a ten foot radius of the target in order for them to obey her. if she is outside ten feet of the target, the effect will wear off. if an hour passes, the target will pass out of her control without memory of how they came to be wherever they are, doing whatever they're doing. they will not connect Darlene to the incident, even if they remember her. if Darlene gets another minute of skin to skin contact with the target, she can renew her sway.
